What’s In My Diaper Bag

I feel like such a “mom” writing a post on what’s in my diaper bag, but when I asked you guys what you wanted to see, this was super highly requested!  So today I’m sharing all about what diaper bags I use, what I like/dislike about them, as well as what I carry in them.  Having Rhett has really put a stint in my cute handbag game, but I’m trying to make it as “fashionable” as possible 😉.  But, let’s be real, no mom is going to give up function 😂.

Bags, Organizers and Changing Pads

As far as diaper bags go, I have two: the TwelveLittle stroller caddy and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM with a ToteSavvy insert.  On an everyday basis, I use the TwelveLittle stroller caddy, but when I want to look like I am carrying a handbag or I am traveling I use the Neverfull.  Function vs. Fashion people 😉.

The TwelveLittle Stroller caddy is easily my favorite because of just how functional and simple it is.  It is a structured bag that has plenty of room for everything I need and is not a “bottomless pit.”  Everything is easily found, and I absolutely love the layout.  There is a side pocket for wipes that magnets down and the top zips open so you can easily grab things like your wallet, without having to fully open the bag every time.  It takes up minimal space in the basket of the stroller, and is super lightweight.  The fabric is nylon so it can be wiped down easily.  Clearly, I could rave about this little diaper bag for hours.  The only two downsides I can come up with are that it doesn’t come with a changing pad (we bought this one and love it) and it isn’t that fashionable.  That’s where my Neverfull comes in.

So I originally purchased the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM (the largest size) with the intention of using it as my only diaper bag.  ToteSavvy sent me one of these inserts that makes any tote into a diaper bag, and it fits into the Neverfull perfectly (I have the Original in the almond color)!  It keeps everything super organized, rather than just throwing it into a big bag. It does come with a changing pad as well, but not a wipe container so you would just bring a package of wipes, or buy a separate container like this one that we have.

While I absolutely love the look of the Neverfull, it is just too big and heavy to use everyday.  I have really liked it for traveling because I can fit way more in the bag than just Rhett’s stuff, it stores on top of my suitcase really nice, and I have a handbag to use while I’m gone.

Clothes, Burp Cloth, Wet/Dry Bag

I always bring extra clothes for Rhett because accidents happen with babies, people.  Honestly I should bring an extra shirt for me, too 😂.  I always have a footie pajama, an extra onesie, and a bib.  And with Rhett’s reflux, we cannot leave the house without a burp cloth–these are our favorites and worth the extra money!  And I keep this wet/dry bag in each diaper bag in case I have to store clothes that may have fallen victim to a blow out.

Diapering

It wouldn’t be a diaper bag without diapers, and these are our favorites!  I also have wipes in each bag, and store them in the wipe case in the Neverfull.  We have a travel size Desitin as well as these dirty diaper bags in each bag as well.  They are the best if you get stuck and don’t have somewhere to throw it away.

Sanitizers, Pacifiers and Accessories

We keep a package of these Aveeno hand & face wipes and these pacifier wipes in both bags.  They are really compact and I love having wipes that can disinfect pacis no matter where we are.  Speaking of, these are Rhett’s favorite pacifiers and I keep several clean ones in this pacifier pouch that clips right onto the diaper bag.  This Honest spray hand sanitizer is the best and we always have it on hand!  Oh, and can’t forget snacks for mom.  Those are always in there 😉.

Here’s a little quick reference of all the things we keep in our diaper bag!
