Gucci Marmont Bag Review

If you’ve been following a while, you already know this, but in case you are new around here, my style is extremely simple and classic (for the most part).  I typically wear pretty neutral colors and like to stick with classic silhouettes and jeans the majority of them time.  You won’t find me in too many super expensive articles of clothing.  BUT!  I love me a designer bag as much as the next girl!  I have to laugh because about five years ago I would have laughed if you told me I would splurge on a designer handbag, but not they are always at the top of my wish list.  As was the case with a Gucci bag.

Some of my most frequently asked questions recently have been about this Gucci Marmont bag, so today I thought it would be the perfect time to review it and share all the details with you!  Daniel took me to Nordstrom a while back to treat me to a Gucci bag I had been wanting for a long time.  We went in thinking we were going to leave with this one, but when I tried on this Marmont bag I instantly fell in love.  It is so easy to wear on one shoulder or throw on cross body style (my personal favorite way to wear it!).

I love that the gold chain makes it easy to dress up, but it has leather at the top of the strap where it rests on your shoulder so your hair never gets caught in the chain.  And as far as durability goes, this bag looks as new as the day I got it!!  The leather is amazing quality and super durable, but to help maintain it’s shape I always store it stuffed.  I was shocked at how durable it was and am now seriously considering in investing in the black version as well.  When we were shopping, I tried on both the large and medium sizes, however I felt that the medium fit my petite frame better (I’m 5’1″ for reference).

Since I like to splurge on my bags, I tend to keep it pretty budget friendly with the rest of my wardrobe.  It’s all about balance, right?!  My absolute favorite place to shop is on this page of the Nordstrom website.  It has all the new trend pieces, and almost everything is within my budget.  my favorite brands to shop there as far as clothing goes are Madewell, Topshop, BP, Leith, and Free People!

Mixing high and low price points keeps your budget in check while still allowing you to have those super special items that you save up for!  Bags like this Gucci Marmont are things we typically splurge on while on a trip or after a big achievement so there’s usually a memory attached to them…and I love that!
