Happy Monday, friends!  It’s been a while since I’ve done a pregnancy update, and to be quite honest it’s because things have been pretty quiet and easy around here!  I definitely am grateful for that!  But I thought today would be the perfect time to do a 25 Week Bumpdate!  My baby bump has grown so much since the 20-week mark, and according to my doctor so has baby boy!  I’ve gotten pretty creative with styling my new bump, and while we were in New York for Fashion Week I wore this outfit. I am obsessed with this white off-the-shoulder top and this floral midi skirt that I just pulled up over my bump.  But, let’s get to the bump date!  If you want to catch up on my first trimester update check out this post, or my pregnancy workout routine in this post!

How Far Along: 25 weeks as of Saturday!  Not sure if that’s technically 6 months or not, but whenever I say “6 months” I feel like that is so far along!

Size Of Baby: My pregnancy apps say he’s about 1 1/2 pounds and the size of an acorn squash…very fitting for Fall 😉!  I had a random checkup at my doctor’s office last week (more on that in a minute), and my doctor said he’s measured almost 2 pounds though 😳!  So grateful for this healthy, growing boy!

Gender: BOY 👶🏻💙

Name: So, before we found out he was a boy, we had 4 girl’s names picked out that we really loved.  But, we couldn’t decide on a boy’s name!  FINALLY, we came across one we both really like and think that will be his name.  But, we aren’t going to announce it or fully commit until he’s here!

Symptoms: I’ve felt so grateful this entire pregnancy that I haven’t had any symptoms!  Other than my growing belly and about two “tired” days at the beginning, I wouldn’t have even known I was pregnant until I felt him kicking at 19 weeks (best feeling in the entire world 🙌🏼).  I’ve been full of joy over knowing I have him inside me at all times and literally praising Jesus every moment.  This week however, I have been slightly uncomfortable 👎🏼.  I’ve been getting pain under my ribcage near my diaphragm on my right side when I sit, so some days I have been standing at the counter to work 😂.  I can’t complain because it’s nothing big, but it has been pretty obnoxious and did wake me up one night!

Cravings: Up until this week, nothing outside of my normal loves: Chick-Fil-A & Chipotle. But the other day someone mentioned something about peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses on top.  Now keep in mind, I have probably had those twice in my entire life and am not even a peanut butter cookie person.  But, I HAD to make them that night!  They were incredible!  I used this recipe if you’re craving them now 😉.

Movement: This is HANDS DOWN my favorite part of pregnancy!  I waited and waited to feel him move for what felt like forever, and at 19 weeks was when I finally felt him for the first time.  And it’s still absolutely amazing to me every single time.  At about 21 weeks, I could see him moving from the outside, and Daniel really felt him then too.

But this past week I did kind of get nervous when for 3 days I wasn’t feeling him move as consistently as I had been since 19 weeks.  He’s pretty active and I can feel him throughout the day, but always when I lay down or sit on the couch in the afternoons and “spend time with him” (as I call it 😉).  After it didn’t happen 3 days in a row, I called my doctor to just make sure and they wanted me to come in.  They did some monitoring and finally hooked me up to an ultrasound, and I got to see my little guy!  He is perfectly healthy and was moving around on the screen.  My doctor thinks that because he moved into a vertical, breech position, I may be feeling it differently than when he was laying transverse (or horizontally).

Nursery Progress: YOU GUYS!  I ordered his furniture this week!  Up until this point, his room in our house has kind of been a construction zone.  But in the last week, Daniel put up the recessed lighting and I ordered the crib, dresser/changing table, and bookcase.  They are all coming mid-October and I can’t even wait to set them up!

Challenges this Week: Trusting God with him and not being fearful when I wasn’t feeling him move consistently.  If I’m not careful, I can let myself worry about every little thing, and Daniel always reminds me that God’s got him and he’s forming perfectly!

Looking Forward to: The nursery furniture coming, my 28-week ultrasound (hello, third trimester…ahh!), and our babymoon to Hawaii!!!!!
