I am finally sharing a video tutorial of my easy everyday look that I literally wear every day. Haha! I like my morning routine to be simple and quick, so this makeup look takes me usually between 15-20 minutes to complete. It gives the appearance that you spent time on it without looking like you’re ready for a photoshoot. The perfect happy medium 😊. Below I linked all of the products that I included in the video, as well as their shades and colors. And just a quick tip: I really feel that the brushes and sponges I use to apply my makeup are just as important as the makeup products themselves. It makes such a huge difference when you invest in quality brushes and a “name brand” BeautyBlender! Trust me on that one, and try adding one to your routine!
Please let me know if you have any questions that I can help answer in the comments!
Primer: Too Faced ‘Hangover Replenishing Face Primer‘
I love this primer for my dry skin! I apply it with my fingers directly on top of my moisturizer and sunscreen as a base for my foundation.
Concealer: Tarte ‘Shape Tape Concealer‘ (Light Neutral)
Applied with: BeautyBlender
This concealer hides all! I use it for my under eyes and blend it onto my eyelid and under eye with a damp BeautyBlender. I will also cover up some blemishes with it as well while I’m at it because it is the perfect heavy coverage.
Foundation: Too Faced ‘Born this Way Foundation‘ (Nude)
Applied with: Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush
This foundation has become my holy grail! I get asked a lot what type of foundation I’m wearing, and it’s always when I wear this one. It gives the perfect finish for dry skin! If you have oily skin but want a full coverage foundation, I highly recommend Esteé Lauder ‘Double Wear‘–I used to use this and loved it. I put a small amount directly onto the kabuki brush, and then dot it around my face before blending in. I usually only use one pump of the Too Faced foundation, but for a little more coverage I add an extra 1/2 pump.
Setting Powder: Hourglass ‘Ambient Light Powder‘ (Ethereal Light)
Applied with: BeautyBlender
After applying my foundation, I set my under eye concealer with this setting powder. I rub my BeautyBlender in it and then pat it on my under eye and upper eyelid. It acts as the perfect base to apply my eyeshadow on. I used to set my whole face with this powder, but my skin has gotten too dry to do that lately (especially in the Winter months)!
Bronzer: NARS ‘Bronzing Powder‘ (Laguna)
Applied with: Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush
This is probably the product I’ve used the longest! I have tried other bronzers, but always go back to this one. One thing I love about it is how large it is. I replace it less than once a year, so it makes the price very reasonable. This fluffy bronzer brush makes it super simple to get a natural look. For every day, I tend to go for a more sun-kissed look versus a “contoured” look and blend my bronzer alone my hairline, under my cheekbones, and along my jawline.
Blush: Chanel ‘Powder Blush‘ (280 Golden Sun)
Applied with: Bobbi Brown Blush Brush
Believe it or not, I started wearing blush only about a year ago! If you are unsure about it, I can’t recommend this blush and color enough. It blends so nicely with your bronzer and adds subtle rosy color. This brush makes applying it foolproof, and I just add a small amount to the apples of my cheeks. I’ve had it for well over a year and it still looks brand new!
Eyeshadow: Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Modern Renaissance Palette‘
Applied with: MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush & MAC 217 Blending Brush
The moment I saw this palette, I knew it was going to get so much use! Not only are all of the colors usable for looks from everyday to night-time glam, but there is a great mix of matte and shimmer shadows. To start, I use the MAC 239 brush and apply the color ‘Primavera’ all over my lid. I then take my ring finger and dip it into the color ‘Vermeer’ and apply that to the inner corner and blend onto the lid. Lastly, I take my MAC 217 blending brush and mix a little of ‘Warm Taupe,’ ‘Raw Sienna,’ and ‘Burnt Orange.’ I blend that into my outer corner and crease to create shadowing and dimension.
Eyeliner: Tarte ‘Maneater Liquid Eyeliner‘
Recently I picked up this eyeliner while I was at Ulta because of a reader recommendation! I had been using the Stila ‘Stay All Day’ Liquid Liner forever, but decided to switch it up after she told me about this one. I can’t say that I like it “better,” but I do really like some things about it! It is a bit darker, and the line you can create is more precise. However, if you are a liquid liner newbie, I would not recommend it because it can get messy quick! The Stila liner is more of a felt tip and easier to apply, but the line definitely isn’t as precise. As far as wear, I find them both to wear all day!
No matter what product I’m using, to apply I line my upper lid starting all the way from the inner corner, and do a very small, slight wing at the outer corner. This “opens” up my eyes a little without being a noticeable wing.
Mascara: DIOR ‘Maximizer Lash Primer,’ L’Oréal ‘Telescopic Mascara,’ L’Oréal ‘Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara‘
Big, full lashes are something I absolutely love and so while my mascara routine may seem a bit intense, it gives me the best results! I’ve found that mixing mascaras gives you the benefits of all of them versus just one. I start by applying a thin layer of the Dior mascara primer. While that dries, I do my eyebrows (see below), and then apply the L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara directly on top. I focus on the tips of my lashes and fanning them outward because the main benefit of this mascara is length! Lastly, after that layer dries, I apply the L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise on top.
If you are picky about your lashes clumping, I can’t recommend this comb enough! It is made of needles and is definitely for very particular girls, but it works so well!
Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Brow Powder Duo‘ (Taupe)
Applied with: MAC 266 Small Angle Brush
This powder gives a much more natural look than a pencil would. I mix the lighter and darker colors in the pan and use the angle brush to line the bottom of my eyebrow and give definition, before filling it in.
NYX ‘Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick‘ (Soft Spoken)
Lined with: MAC Lipliner (Whirl)
This is my go-to combo and the one I have gotten so many messages asking about! It truly is my favorite combo for my skin tone and think it is so pretty for Fall. I love how this particular liquid lipstick feels and wears. It is not as long-wearing as others I have worn, however it isn’t drying either. And this lipliner color is my very favorite! I wear it with almost every lipstick shade.
